Thursday February 21, 2019 on a bight and brisk day, I met my friend Judith which by the way I hadn't seen in a while.  What better way to meet than over a nice authentic peruvian food.  

Judith's dish - the arroz chaufa is a peruvian style chinese fried rice that was mixed with chicken, bean sprouts, eggs, scallions and soy sauce.  I did get a fork or two full and it light, fluffy and good.  The chicken was lightly seasoned and tender.

Now my dish, watch out now is called the Juanita's Chicken which is marinated in mama Juanita's authentic recipe.  It has to be good because that is my mother's name.  You just want to first peel back the skin and let it rest in your mouth, but you don't.  You take a bite, chew slowly, let the flavors marinate on your taste buds as you try and figure out what seasonings and herbs do they use.  Don't even try because it's a lost cause.  But before you take a bite, dip it in their green sauce, and the explosion begins.  Spicy, flavorable and yummy to the tummy.  Dare ask for more?  

The ensalada de avocado salad consist of course, avocado slices, thinly slice carrots tomatoes, red onions and their homemade dressing.  So what goes first the salad or the chicken?  You decide.  I've eaten the salad first, then the chicken. I've done the chicken and salad afterwards, backwards!   Then I tried the chicken and the salad together, now that works with that green sauce!!  

When you go, don't be in rush, sit and enjoy your food.  It is truly worth the visit.
