House Smoked Salmon with chef's dressing & toast - $17.00

What to do what to do on Saturday, March 30, 2019, nice cool day, no snow, sun is shinning, oh what to do, where to go!  Ah ha!  After making a phone call to my daughter Stacey with a suggestion for lunch, and of course she said yes after I said I wanted to go back to Houston's of which she said yes.  She has been there several times, but this was my second time but not my last.  

Can we talk about the House Smoked Salmon with chef's dressing & toast!  I dare you to go and try it, I double d eye dare you as we use to say when we where younger.  Go ahead, you'll still there.  Ok, ok.  Just a hint. I don't know whether this is a Chinook Salmon King, Coho Salmon Silver, Sockeye Salmon Silver or a Sockeye Salmon Red or whatever, I just want to say oh my goodness.  I know that I know that once the salmon that was placed on my plate, knew that as they were preparing to battle the deluge of rain and increased water levels in a run to get to the shallow waters where they were born, swimming hundreds of miles up stream before reaching their spawning ground, my salmon knew that they were going to get caught and get this wanted to get caught because they knew that they would end up on Houston's menu as House Smoked Salmon.   

Smooth, light, fresh, flaky and an explosion of flavors.  Take the toast in hand, spread a little bit of the chef's dressing and place the salmon on top, or vice versa, be careful you might not want the rest of your meal after your first bite.  

The fish and chips were lightly coated, crispy and you get a nice crunch when you bite.  I wanted to know but couldn't get their secret on how it was so tasty and light and full of fish.  Sometimes you get more coating and hardly any fish.  Not here.  The french fries added a nice combination with the sliced tomatoes.  

Can we talk about the service?  Professional, efficient, friendly, attentive and very welcoming.

Just go.  I'm working my way through the menu.  You will not be disappointed.
