So my family and I (12 people) waited for a table for about 30 minutes.  We ended up sitting in 2 separate tables right next to each other, otherwise the wait would have been longer.  It was indeed worth the wait.  We met our waitress Claudia was very nice and experienced in dealing with a large group.  The service is prompt which help made it for a pleasant dining experience.  Oscar our server, such a pleasant and attentive gentleman.   

Let's cut to the chase.  I had the German Pancake with lingonberry butter and a glass of milk.  Yes milk.  I also asked for butter, never enough and they brought me whopped butter.  Yahoo! This pancake as you can see was very large, but quite tasty.  I couldn't eat it all. My family gave great reviews on all of their food and drinks. 

I'm telling you, if you find yourself in the southern part of California or in Palm Springs, make Elmer's one of your stops.  You will not be disappointed.

What a place, what an experience.  My family (12 of us) and I celebrated my two granddaughters, Skye and Cherokee's college graduation at the Tea House on Los Rios.  The service, the food, the tea, everything was fit for a queen and king.  The event coordinator Alexis was so charming and true to her title, by creating a one of a kind experience that ensure memories for us to last a lifetime.  Our server, Valeria managed our large group quickly and efficiently and was very attentive in her service.  

We had freshly baked currant scones with raspberry preserves and California cream, five assorted finger sandwiches, i.e., cucumber with herbed cream cheese, egg salad with chive, curried chicken salad on a mini croissant, caramelized onion, mushroom and bleu cheese tartine.  For dessert, lemon tart in phyllo dough shell, chocolate ganache bite and a traditional english trifle.  Say it with me, yummy to my tummy.

I tried the apricot tea, watermelon tea but not the chocolate tea.  My favorite turned out to be the apricot tea, so smooth.

It is located in the Los Rios Historic District of San Juan Capistrano.  When you go, and you will, after eating, don't be in a rush.  There are buildings dating back to 1794.    Walk around the area and you will see the Mission house (pictures below) that you can enter and see articles that was used during that time.  There is a butterfly garden and shops.

My daughter Brandy and I decided to go and try this new restaurant that she heard of in the theater district. Good choice of location.   First I must begin with the host, Ingio, who immediately greeted us seated us right away and was such a delightful, friendly and engaging person.  Once seated Pamela our waitress was very friendly and efficient.

We decided to order the jerk chicken wings as an appetizer.  Needless to say, at the end of our meal we placed two separate takeout orders for the wings because they were so good and you couldn't just eat 1 or 2 or 3.  Nope.  

Now I had the Coconut Salmon, tender, juicy, let me repeat, juicy and the coconut sauce, good goodness!!  

Brandy had the Oxtail, which was so tender that it was falling off the bone nestled in a savory gravy.  Tasted pretty good, so well seasoned.

Chicken Fajitas - $11.95 

We arrived at El Porton during their lunch special after doing a site visit with my co-worker friend Claire.  We were immediately seated and our waitiress Alexdra introduced herself and was found to be attentive and very cordial.  Claire and I order the same dish, Chicken Fajitas.

Well, the chicken breast fajitas, sauteed onions, red and green peppers, Mexican rice, beans, shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole and warm tortillas, oh my.  You can taste the seasonings, cumin, garlic, oregano and whatever other seasonings was sprinkle on it, was so good!  The portions are great.

The service was great, we didn't wait long for our food.  Go and enjoy.  Time to try another dish.

My daughter Brandy and I had heard about Noches De Columbia and have passed this restaurant several times, so we decided to stop in for lunch.

Upon exiting the car the valet was very personable, and stepping into the front entrance the customer service greeting was extended with smiles.  You felt welcomed.  Upon being seated, the atmosphere was very lively.

Our waitress Amelia was so proficient, friendly and professional. We both ordered the grilled chicken breast but with one order of onions and sweet plantains.  Chicken, tasty and well-seasoned, beans, firm  not mushy, onions sautéed, tender, plantains, soft, sweet, custard interior, golden brown,  fried just right.

I am here to tell you that the entire meal was so good but we couldn’t eat it all.   I will definitely be back especially to try out other items on their menu.

Old fashioned pizza - $19.00

On Monday, March 21, around 2:00 pm (lunch time), I walked in and was greeted by my server Ivona who was so welcoming and cheerful.  As time went by Adrenne’s got crowded, she never let you feel as if you were bothering her if you wanted something.  

I ordered the half pan thin crust pizza made with crushed tomatoes, homemade fresh soft mozzella, made in a pizza oven, served on a platter that is placed in front of you, oozing with a blend seasoning, garlic, oregano and basil which made for a delightful smell that kinds of warms you before you take your first bite then your second and third bite.  Yep.  You just finished reading a run on sentence.   Couldn’t help it.  Had to get it out. 

 A bit of history

Adrenne’s Pizzabar  ha been opened since 2004 and has both indoor and outdoor seating on a cobblestone street, located in the Financial District.  They serve both round and old fashioned square pizza pies, salads, other Italian dishes as well as get this oven baked pasta!!
