Restaurant is located on the Marina, absolutely lovely views.  Walking on the marina we watched a sea lion swimming as well as different birds perched on boats.  

My family and I ventured to Proud Mary's on a cool and sunny afternoon to continue the graduation ceremonies.  My granddaughter Cherokee who graduated from college that morning was still in her cap and gown, as we walk into the restaurant the entire restaurant clapped and shouted congratulations!  She was beaming as she said thank you and I was ever so proud and thankful for the guest and staff for extending their salutations.

Our server, Breana was so professional, friendly and attentive it made for a delightful afternoon.  The owner, Steve came over an introduced himself and stayed for a while telling that he used to be in the navy and how he came to open this restaurant.  All I am going to tell you is that it started over a hotdog.

I had the corned beef hash that was slow cooked, grilled potatoes, green peppers and onions and 2 scrambled eggs with a side of wheat toast and freshly squeezed orange juice.  I haven't had corn beef hash in I don't know how many years, but it brought back good memories and it was good.  

Everyone else's meal ended up being all eaten or couldn't finish.  The food was great and we had a good time. The atmosphere is very causal.  From the chops and salsa to the meal, I'm looking forward to my next few visits.  There are some other things on that menu that is calling for my attention.

Yep.  Came back a second time and I order the Apple cinnamon short Stack since I couldn't stop thinking about them since my granddaughter Skye let me taste hers on Tuesday.  The cinnamon can be a bit overwhelming but get beyond that and it's all in.  The slices of apple, the fluffiness of the pancakes, they're big by he way.  Tasty too.  

Our server Sarah was such a delight and had a wonderful sense of humor.  And last but not least, Fernando the bus person was so quick and efficient as well as very, very personable.

So my family and I (12 people) waited for a table for about 30 minutes.  We ended up sitting in 2 separate tables right next to each other, otherwise the wait would have been longer.  It was indeed worth the wait.  We met our waitress Claudia was very nice and experienced in dealing with a large group.  The service is prompt which help made it for a pleasant dining experience.  Oscar our server, such a pleasant and attentive gentleman.   

Let's cut to the chase.  I had the German Pancake with lingonberry butter and a glass of milk.  Yes milk.  I also asked for butter, never enough and they brought me whopped butter.  Yahoo! This pancake as you can see was very large, but quite tasty.  I couldn't eat it all. My family gave great reviews on all of their food and drinks. 

I'm telling you, if you find yourself in the southern part of California or in Palm Springs, make Elmer's one of your stops.  You will not be disappointed.

What a place, what an experience.  My family (12 of us) and I celebrated my two granddaughters, Skye and Cherokee's college graduation at the Tea House on Los Rios.  The service, the food, the tea, everything was fit for a queen and king.  The event coordinator Alexis was so charming and true to her title, by creating a one of a kind experience that ensure memories for us to last a lifetime.  Our server, Valeria managed our large group quickly and efficiently and was very attentive in her service.  

We had freshly baked currant scones with raspberry preserves and California cream, five assorted finger sandwiches, i.e., cucumber with herbed cream cheese, egg salad with chive, curried chicken salad on a mini croissant, caramelized onion, mushroom and bleu cheese tartine.  For dessert, lemon tart in phyllo dough shell, chocolate ganache bite and a traditional english trifle.  Say it with me, yummy to my tummy.

I tried the apricot tea, watermelon tea but not the chocolate tea.  My favorite turned out to be the apricot tea, so smooth.

It is located in the Los Rios Historic District of San Juan Capistrano.  When you go, and you will, after eating, don't be in a rush.  There are buildings dating back to 1794.    Walk around the area and you will see the Mission house (pictures below) that you can enter and see articles that was used during that time.  There is a butterfly garden and shops.

My daughter Brandy and I decided to go and try this new restaurant that she heard of in the theater district. Good choice of location.   First I must begin with the host, Ingio, who immediately greeted us seated us right away and was such a delightful, friendly and engaging person.  Once seated Pamela our waitress was very friendly and efficient.

We decided to order the jerk chicken wings as an appetizer.  Needless to say, at the end of our meal we placed two separate takeout orders for the wings because they were so good and you couldn't just eat 1 or 2 or 3.  Nope.  

Now I had the Coconut Salmon, tender, juicy, let me repeat, juicy and the coconut sauce, good goodness!!  

Brandy had the Oxtail, which was so tender that it was falling off the bone nestled in a savory gravy.  Tasted pretty good, so well seasoned.
