Yes, I have been there twice. My first visit was with my co-workers and the second was with my daughter’s ex schoolteacher and she became a friend. Both times, I had a lot of fun, the socialization on board was friendly, and the staff was very efficient, professional, and personable. My co-workers order the guacamole with corn tortilla chips, pilot (chicken) wings with Thai chili sauce, Maryland crab tater tots with remoulade sauce, beer battered fish tacos with chipotle aioli, tartar sauce and Pico de Gallo, and I had the Baylander burger with Baylander sauce on Martins potato and crinkle cut french fries. All and I mean all the food were very fresh and very good. So good that when I went back, I tried the crinkle cut french fries with pilot wings ewith Thai chili sauce, lick your fingers good. My friend had Cajun shrimp tacos with homemade guacamole, sour cream and Pico de Gallo in a flour tortilla, also yum yum!
The Baylander restaurant is located on the deck of a retired aircraft Navy Ship that is docked at the West Harlem piers on 125th Street on the Hudson River. They take reservations. The view from either side of the boat is picturesque and tranquil. The dock and dining experiences is an experience. Not only is great fun and relaxing, whether it is an afternoon or evening, you will enjoy the entire experience.
