Well my friend Michelle and I had planned to meet up for dinner several times, but due to both of our schedules we were finally able to plan an actual date, the above date. Upon setting a date I decided that we should go to The Boil in Greenwich Village. After an exchange of hugs and laughter off we went. I had made reservations. Good thing.
Jenny our waitress was quick, efficient and friendly. When my friend Michelle was not certain between two dishes, so Jenny in her Boil encyclopedia knowledge was able to assist her in her selection, lobster and crawfish. And it was good! The corn was juicy, the lobster and crawfish was tender and fresh and well seasoned. Like don't care that I'm out in public, like those fingers girl! There's the slurping again.
The salad was overloaded with cilantro and that's about the only think I tasted. Couldn't find the mango and what happened to the papaya? I sent it back When I ask the waitress about the salad they did not tell me that it was made with green papaya and green mango. Bit difference from what I expected and it is not mention on the menu.
The crab cake had lumps of fresh crabs, smell the ocean, see you later fellow crabs with a taste of mustard, worcestershire sauce, very lightly breaded and whatever other ingredients they blended together was a good marriage. Ever so often a waitstaff comes and empties the basket that you have dump the shells in.
All together we enjoyed the food and the experienced. Looking forward to a return visit without the salad.
